Lambda Eta Mu
Lambda Eta Mu, the Greek Service Honor Society, was founded to enhance the quality of service and philanthropy. The Society exists to recognize those in our Greek community who give selflessly of their time and talents. LHM believes that through a giving spirit, Greeks continue their dedication to the greater community and a better world. With great humility of spirit, our members will make a difference to humanity by lending a hand to those in need and in doing so will better their campus, their Greek community, and most importantly themselves.
A group of service-minded students at Case Western Reserve University representing various Greek fraternities and sororities joined together to create an organization dedicated to honoring Greeks that excel in serving the community through commitment to community service and philanthropy. The Alpha chapter of Lambda Eta Mu was founded on July 8, 2010 as a result of this student effort.
To be eligible to join Lambda Eta Mu, students must be a member of a Greek organization for one full academic semester, be in good standing within their chapter and possess a giving spirit demonstrated through service and/or philanthropy. Applications are distributed at the beginning of each semester. For questions regarding the application process, please contact Mike Young.
In addition to honoring service-minded Greeks, Lambda Eta Mu also offers a service to help and counsel student organizations about service and philanthropy events. Not sure how to go about planning such an event? Contact us and we can give you some tips to help organize a successful event.
