Recovery House is an alternative housing option for students who want to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle. Recovery House is a program offered through the division of Prevention & Recovery Services of the University Counseling Services (UCS). The program is open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students from CWRU, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Art, and Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
Recovery House assists resident students in developing healthy life skills while remaining free of alcohol and other drugs. It is a two-unit apartment house for six residents and a graduate resident director located in the South Residential Village. Resident students develop an individualized plan for continued sobriety along with personal health and educational objectives. Participants assist each other in creating a safe and supportive place to live.
