Message from the Student Body President
On behalf of all the undergraduate students of Case Western Reserve University, it is my honor to welcome you to our community of scholars, leaders, and friends. I hope you are enjoying your last summer before beginning a new and exciting chapter of your life. You will soon gain a new sense of independence as you explore an array of opportunities and experiences here at CWRU. Your decision to attend CWRU is one that will positively impact your life- I promise that you will learn about the world around you, and perhaps more importantly about yourself.
You are about to find yourself immersed in a world of opportunity at Case Western Reserve, and this Little Blue Book is just the beginning. A great tradition, every single undergraduate student at this university who took the steps that you are taking now has also received a little blue book to act as a guide. Full of history, traditions, and other pieces of useful campus knowledge, this book serves as your first exposure for how you can get involved in campus life.
As I begin my last year at CWRU, I can confidently share this advice with you: getting the most out of your college education requires that you explore your interests outside of the classroom. Following your passions will allow you to meet the most interesting and brilliant people while growing on a deeper, personal level. In my personal experience, my fondest memories of Case Western Reserve did not come from the laboratory or library, but rather from long car rides with my Ultimate team, eating too much ice cream at Mitchell's, and exploring the great city of Cleveland. At a renowned institution like CWRU, you have the world at your fingertips. All you have to do is reach out and take hold of it.
Again, welcome to Case Western Reserve University, the home which we now share. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, and I can't wait to see all the incredible things your class accomplishes. I wish you the best of luck!
