Anna Schuer

Anna Schuer is a Ph.D. Candidate and University Fellow at The Ohio State University in the area of Art History. She previously earned a Master’s Degree in Art History from Case Western Reserve University where she served as a Teaching Assistant, a Mentor TA, and an intern at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She also earned two bachelor’s degrees from Arizona State University, one in Secondary English Education and one in Art History. Before returning to school to study art at the graduate level, Anna served as a certified English and Social Studies teacher for both middle school and high school students in Phoenix, Arizona. She particularly specialized in teaching English to Spanish-speaking urban youth.

As an art instructor for the National Youth Sports Program, Anna combines her love of art and education in order to encourage youth to express themselves through the visual arts. She believes that creating, viewing, and discussing art allows students to express their feelings, to explore their personal goals, and to learn about the rich diversity that exists in the world around them.
