Room Lottery: Second Year Experience

Single suites and rooms in partially-filled suites will be distributed by the room lottery process for rising second-year students.

To participate in the room lottery process, select one person to be your group coordinator. Your group coordinator will need to submit a group application in MyHousing by the designated deadline below:

After the application deadline, your group coordinator will receive email notification directing you to the MyHousing website, with the following information:

  • how many groups applied for that particular lottery
  • your randomly generated lottery number
  • the day and time you can access the the online room selection system on MyHousing

Only the group coordinator will have access to the online room selection system. Make sure that person knows what specific bedrooms everyone in the group is interested in. If the group coordinator is not available at the designated time, he/she can log on later during the lottery time. Please realize that other groups will choose their rooms before you, and a suite will not be held for you.

If all suites/rooms are selected before your group's lottery time, your group will be allowed to participate in another room lottery for a different size group.

In order to participate in the lottery process, you must complete your individual housing application by Monday, March 19, 2018.

Clarke Tower
Clarke Tower houses both first and second year students. If the first year class size is larger than anticipated, we may need to relocate second year students from Clarke to house all the first year students together. If you choose a suite or room on one of the lower floors in Clarke, please note that you may be in the possible relocation zone. We will reach out to students who need to be relocated over the summer to discuss options.

This process requires that you give your application number and authorization code to another individual. By doing so, you are allowing this person to act on your behalf in the room selection process. This person's actions will be binding. If a room is chosen for you, you will not be able to change it.
