IFC/Panhel Awards - Nomination Guidelines

You may nominate as many people in your chapter that you think are deserving of awards. Please provide examples of why a person, chapter, event, or organization is outstanding. Description of awards are listed below:

The Howard Shelley Fraternal Leadership Award

This award, given to one fraternity man and one sorority woman, is limited to outstanding juniors and seniors. Candidates should exemplify honor, integrity, confidence, and honesty in their leadership roles within the Greek community. Please provide examples of how the nominee has impacted the Greek community while living these four values.

Outstanding Chapter President (IFC/PHC)

This award recognizes one fraternity and one sorority chapter president who have not only successfully led their own chapters to accomplish its goals, but also maintained open avenues of communication with other chapters and officers within the Greek community. Please provide examples of their leadership skills in the chapter, their cooperation with other chapters and organizations, and their effort to be involved in the government of the Greek community. The presidents must have served in this role during the 2014 calendar year.

The Robert Niebaum Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award

This award will be presented to the most outstanding chapter advisor. Please provide examples of the advisor's consistent involvement and support of any and all chapter endeavors.

Outstanding New Member Award (IFC/PHC)

This award recognizes one fraternity and one sorority new member. Please provide examples of how this new member has made an impact inside the chapter and demonstrates a passion for the organization. The member needs to have become a new member of your chapter during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Glenn Nicholls Character of Distinction Award

The Glenn Nicholls Character of Distinction Award honors students who are constantly going above and beyond duties outlined in their positions. These individuals are great examples that living your values is a continuous journey of both successes and failures. What differentiates these individuals is their desire to learn, not just for learning's sake, but to learn with the pursuit of challenging themselves and those around them to be better. Please provide examples of how this individual embodies the above description.

Campus Partner Award

This award recognizes one faculty of staff member who goes above and beyond their job description to provide consist ant and beneficial support for the Greek community. Please provide examples of how this person has been a continued champion of the Greek community.
