The Agnar Pytte Cup

Agnar Pytte CupThe Pytte Cup is the annual evaluation process for chapters in the Greek Community at Case Western Reserve University, designed to develop an organizational understanding of what goes into a strong, well rounded chapter. The overall process will help chapters to develop and maintain a structure that produces members of character and integrity through careful attention to the community values, and how they can engage with those values in tangible ways. The pillar values addressed are Scholarship, Citizenship, Ritual, and Leadership, which each have associated objective criteria within the evaluation.

The process for evaluation submission has two levels. The first level, Community Standards is designed to provide the baseline standards for a functional chapter in the Case Western Reserve Greek community. This portion is mandatory and addresses the processes and documentation necessary for the chapters to thrive and achieve.

The second level, Chapter Development, provides a framework for chapters to provide an engaging and developmental fraternity and sorority experience based on the chapter and community values. This process is more free form, allowing chapters to provide similar benefits in a variety of ways that are unique and develop the individualism of their organization.

The submissions for chapter development will fall under one of four benchmarks; Excellence, Distinction, Honor, and Merit, which provide feedback on the developmental stage of the chapter. This will also help to guide next steps in the chapter's planning. All chapters who have submitted in all four pillar areas, and reached the benchmark of excellence in each, will receive the Agnar Pytte Cup at the end of each academic year.
