Student Affairs Assessment
Assessments are the tools we use to improve the experiences of our students, staff, and community. These tools help us understand the strengths and weaknesses of programs, services, policies, processes, websites and facilities. We then use this information to set goals and chart a path for moving forward.
History
Assessments have been conducted at CWRU for quite some time. Initially, the associate vice president for Student Affairs (2003), Dennis Rupert, and the director of the Career Center (2006), Tom Matthews, accepted the responsibility of coordinating assessments across the division. In 2014, the first full-time director of Student Affairs Assessment, Amanda Thomas, was appointed. Thomas transitioned directly from the CWRU Office of Institutional Research where she had played a significant role in providing assessment support for student services and programs.
