The IT Operations Group supports the staff and programs that support student growth and leadership! We handle the day-to-day maintenance of computer equipment and provide value-added electronic services for our departments. This allows those staff members to spend more of their time providing direct services to students.

Weekend Maintenance

The following university supported applications will be unavailable to the campus community for scheduled maintenance during the specified timeframes below:

Thursday, May 24, 12:00 to 6:00 am

This includes all U and P drives for UGEN Support.

Saturday, May 26, 12:00 to 7:00 am – PeopleSoft HCM
Hangouts Meet

Starting on Monday, May 21, when “Add Conferencing” is selected in a Google calendar meeting, the link generated will be to a Hangouts Meet video call instead of classic Hangouts. Existing classic Hangouts video meeting links will still work through mid-August for meeting links created in Google Calendar before May 21.

Both Hangouts Meet and classic Hangouts will be available to CWRU community members. Please note, Hangouts Meet will only work in the Chrome browser.
Google Drive Visual Refresh

Google drive received a visual refresh over the past few days. There are no functionality changes, but you'll notice that the header bar now has a few changes.

On the left is a drive logo, and the CWRU logo has moved to the right side next to your picture or initials. This is the new header style and will make it to all Google applications in the coming months.
Stream2 Server Upgrades

Planned Server Maintenance - Software Upgrade

Start Date: May 23, 2017 at 9am EDT
End Date: May 25, 2017 at 6pm EDT
Maintenance Window Duration: 72 hours
Expected Outage Duration: 72 hours

Details: New apps that are being released require additional stream types. To add these stream types, all servers involved with Stream 2 will need to be upgraded.

Impact to Students: Complete outage during maintenance window. Users will not be able to login to Stream 2 during the site upgrades. All DVR recordings will be lost!
