Leap List

A leap list is a list of things to do before you make the leap into a new phase of your life. Here, we present our list of things to do on and around campus before transitioning into to the real world after graduation.

On Campus
  • View a sunset from "top of the hill."
  • Participate in a campuswide philanthropic event like SpartanTHON or Relay for Life.
  • Catch one of UPB's Spot Night concerts.
  • Run a leg of the Hudson Relays.
  • Participate in a homecoming event like the Homecoming Parade.
  • Give back by participating in Case for Community Day.
  • Catch a movie showing with CWRU Film Society in Strosacker.
  • Improve your sense of humor by watching IMPROVment in the Eldred Black Box.
  • Understand the true meaning of "perogies" by reading the bathroom posters.
  • Support your fellow students by watching performances in Eldred, Thwing, Tink, Harkness or Amasa Stone.
  • Grab the bus to the University Farm from outside Thwing Center.
Off Campus
  • Spend a day at Cedar Point.
  • Relax the day away at one of the nearby beaches like Edgewater or Mentor Headlands
  • Experience Cleveland sports at Progressive Field, Quicken Loans Arena or FirstEnergy Stadium.
  • Hike the trails at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park then ride the rails on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
  • Visit the resting places of James A. Garfield and John D. Rockefeller in Lakeview Cemetery.
  • Enjoy a nice afternoon in the Cleveland Metroparks.
  • See a Broadway play at PlayhouseSquare.
  • Take advantage of the Free Access Program to visit all the cultural institutions in University Circle.
  • Visit the animals at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo or the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.
  • Attend a Cleveland Orchestra performance at Severance Hall.
  • Celebrate the Feast of the Assumption in Little Italy.
  • Go play broomball and WhirlyBall with a bunch of friends.
  • Bowl a frame at Corner Alley in Uptown.
  • Experience food from a new culture in Coventry or Tremont.
  • Grab the "Best Milkshake East of the Missisippi" (according to Rolling Stone magazine) from Tommy's on Coventry.
  • Experience the Late Night Breakfast and Thwing Study Over during finals.
  • Shop for local, fresh foods at the West Side Market.
  • Go for a date at one of the fine restaurants on East 4th Street.
  • Grab the best grilled cheese of your life at Melt Bar & Grilled or Melt University in the Tink.
  • Have some world-class food at one of Michael Symon’s restaurants (Lola, Lolita, The B Spot and brand new Mabel’s BBQ).
  • Satisfy your sweet tooth with a treat from local Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Sweet Moses Soda Fountain & Treat Shop or Picadilly’s.
  • Grab a meal from the local food trucks.
  • Explore the many amazing food options Cleveland has to offer during Restaurant Week.
