The Time of Your Life: A Word from the Vice President for Student Affairs

Welcome to Case Western Reserve University! There will never be another time in your life quite like this one. You will learn about the world around you, and, at the same time, learn about yourself. You will enrich the campus through your ideas and perspectives.

Gaining a better understanding of who you are and what's important to you takes place outside of class as much as it does inside. We offer a broad and deep range of academic, residential, leadership, service and social opportunities that work together to form our educational community and help you become a lifelong scholar, an ethical leader and an active global citizen.

Our tradition of activities beyond the classroom is rich, and we invite you to get involved, to open yourself to as many different ideas and activities as possible. We think of it as extending and enhancing your education.

The opportunities for involvement are plentiful and varied, from clubs and sports and leadership groups to community service efforts and Greek life. There are as many reasons for getting involved as there are activities. Through involvement, you'll develop strong and genuine friendships. The memories you make will last a lifetime.

As you develop a sense of what you want, take that first step and move forward. Your fellow students are eager to welcome you, and their organizations and activities are easy to find. Maybe you’ll even want to start your own, and leave your mark on our institution.

We look forward to working with you as you get involved and once again, welcome to Case Western Reserve University.
